Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:26 AM NDT 26 March 2026 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will continue eastward and depart to the northeast this evening. Gale to storm force northwesterlies are expected to accompany the low.
A second low pressure system will approach from the south tonight, tracking northeastward to lie southeast of the East Labrador Sea by Friday evening. Strong to gale force northeasterly winds will develop ahead of the low on Friday and shift to strong to gale force northwesterlies in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for South Labrador Coast. Gale warnings are in effect for Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south and the Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in effect for the Labrador Sea.
