- Quiet Weather This Week
An Omega block develops this week as an upper trough along the
West Coast cuts off into an upper low and troughing persists in
in eastern Canada extending into the NW CONUS. In between the two
is an upper high over central Canada. The Great Lakes region will
see dry northwest flow with Gulf moisture largely absent except
for a chance of showers on Wednesday along a cold front.
Lack of deep moisture should keep QPF light on Wednesday except
for isolated heavier amounts in scattered diurnally-enhanced
thunderstorms attending the front during the afternoon into early
evening.
