WEATHER PATTERN OVERVIEW: For the first time in over a week,
record breaking temperatures are not forecast for today, the
result of a cold front skirting northern Nevada. The relief will
be short lived however, as southwest flow continues, allowing
temperatures to return to the 70s for the weekend. Cooling
continues to be forecast to start next week as long range models
remain consistent with an upper level trough strengthening just
off the Pacific coast. Initially this system will funnel Pacific
moisture onshore, before beginning to travel onshore to directly
impact the forecast area by midweek. Precipitation potential
remains significant, with the entire forecast area having a 15%
chance of precipitation during at least one six hour period Monday
through Wednesday, with much stronger potential in northern
Nevada.

FORECAST CONFIDENCE & DEVIATIONS: High confidence in temporary
cooling then continued near to record temperatures through this
weekend. Low to moderate confidence in precipitation for the first
half of next week, with low confidence in onset timing. Blended
NBM with NBM 25th in the usual cold valleys for tonights low
temperatures as base NBM has been running warm again.

24 hours with breezes gusting to around 25KT at all sites.
