.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1001 PM MST Fri Dec 5 2025
No changes from previous forecast packages as a quiet weather
pattern anchors over the Desert SW through the weekend and into next
week.
For the weekend, strengthening upper level high pressure over the
eastern Pacific will promote dry northwesterly flow over the
Borderland Region. All in all, expected quiet and fair weather
conditions this weekend. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday
afternoons will be above the seasonal average, topping out in the
low to middle 60s. Cloud coverage will be a minimum with instances
of high level cirrus from time to time this weekend. Winds on
Saturday will be low-end breezy as an upper level trough passes well
to our north, fostering northwest breezes of 10-15 mph with gusts to
20 mph during the afternoon. Light winds expected on Sunday.
Temperatures each morning will be chilly across the area as a whole,
with lows dropping below freezing across the majority of the
forecast area. Temperatures Saturday morning across the El Paso
metro will drop into the middle 30s, very similar to Friday morning
where El Paso International Airport had a low of 34 degrees.
For next week, pleasant weather conditions will continue with no
significant weather impacts. Temperatures will continue to warm,
with highs around 70 degrees across the desert lowlands Tuesday
through Friday, 10-17 degrees above the seasonal average! Enjoy it,
I know this northerner certainly will.

period. Highs will gradually warm each day, peaking on Wednesday
