...New DISCUSSION, AVIATION, MARINE, FIRE WEATHER...
.KEY MESSAGES...
Updated at 1200 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025
- Warmer this weekend with more sun this afternoon and Sunday.
- Foggy conditions likely tonight across Coastal Plains.
- Another cold front Sunday night but showers are not expected.

.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1200 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025
A passing mid to upper level disturbance has combined with the
available moisture to generate patchy light drizzle across portions
of South Texas this evening. A low chance of showers remains in the
forecast through early morning for inland locations, followed by dry
conditions through the remainder of the forecast cycle. Across the
marine zones, still expecting a few showers in the morning with
chances diminishing through the day.
Fog probabilities increase to around 30-60% (HREF) tonight into
Sunday morning owing to light and variable winds overnight along
with drier mid levels, and dewpoint depressions around 1-2 degrees
F.
Warm temperatures return to the region today into Sunday as a weak
onshore flow resumes, with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s
by Sunday afternoon. However, our next cold front is progged to also
swing through the region on Sunday, resulting in breezy offshore
winds and cooler temperatures early next week. Lows will fall back
into the 40s Sunday night and highs are forecast to only warm up
into the 60s on Monday. Onshore flow returns once again on Tuesday
maintaining warmer temperatures through late week, before the next
frontal boundary slides over.
&&
.AVIATION...
(06Z TAFS)
Issued at 1200 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025
Occasional light rain will continue over the Brush Country and
Coastal Plains through 12Z, before rain chances completely diminish.
VFR conditions prevail at all terminals except for CRP, where MVFR
ceilings are hugging the Coastal Bend. These ceilings may extend
farther inland to VCT/ALI between 08-12Z, but confidence is not high
enough to include as a prevailing line. VFR conditions will dominate
through the daytime hours with light variable winds shifting south
to southeasterly near the end of the forecast.
&&
.MARINE...
Issued at 1200 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025
A gentle to moderate breeze continues through the weekend, with
the wind direction varying. A few showers will remain possible
today followed by dry conditions on Sunday as another frontal
boundary moves through. These dry conditions will then persist
through next week. Winds are forecast to strengthen to a strong to
near gale breeze Sunday night into Monday likely requiring
another Advisory.
&&
.FIRE WEATHER...
Issued at 1200 AM CST Sat Dec 6 2025
Elevated fire weather conditions are not expected today with a light
onshore flow and relative humidity values above 30%. A cold front
will move through the region on Sunday with minimum relative
humidity values dipping below 30% both Sunday and Monday, however
due to low ERC and winds, confidence is low for any elevated fire
weather conditions. Onshore flow resumes again on Tuesday, with
moisture increasing across the region and limiting our fire weather
concerns.
